On October 6, 2011, the Office of Agricultural Affairs (OAA) in Paris participated in the Planète du Gout (Taste of the World). Taste of the World brings together around 200 diplomats, French government officials, as well as food and beverage industry representatives to showcase each respective diplomat’s country specialties. This year, the reception was organized at the Polish Embassy. The event provided an opportunity to introduce hormone-free U.S. beef to the participants, many of whom are not aware that this product is available on the market.
OAA Paris highlighted the American food ingredients to an exquisite menu. Along with a tartare of black Angus displayed in mini buns with a pipette of Kentucky bourbon and Cajun spices, cranberries, cup cakes and a selection of California wines were served at the event.
Thanks to the quality of the products offered, the USA table was very popular and attracted many guests. OAA Paris took advantage of this event to showcase the United States Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and Napa Valley marketing information. The United States has been chosen to organize the Taste of the World 2012.
