Agriculture and Water

On October 4, 2011, the US Embassy in Paris organized a conference entitled "Balancing Agricultural and Water Concerns - Developing Best Practices." On October 6, 2011, the Société des Agriculteurs de France (SAF) organized a seminar on "The Environment in the U.S. Farm Policy."  

At both conferences, speakers included Ms. Megan Stubbs, Analyst in Agricultural Conservation and Natural Resources Policy, Congressional Research Service, Library of Congress, and Mr. Jon Scholl, President, American Farmland Trust.  Ms. Carole Zakine (SAF) presented the situation of water and agriculture in France.
